Down Syndrom Blessing. :)

I came across this video today, it’s about this future mom who just found out that her baby has down syndrome and she’s worried what kind of a life will her child have.

From 15 beautiful people with Down syndrome, the mother received a heartwarming message.

I’ll post the video at the end. Before that I would like to share my thoughts about people experiencing Down syndrome. I never thought of it as a disease or mental illness, in fact I have always thought of it as a blessing.
You need people with such blessing in a world like this today, where you’re scared to get out of your house or turn the TV on or even read any articles. We think so much about nothing; little issues bother us so much that we get insecure and scared for no reason. Fear has always been the biggest enemy of all time. Such wars and conflicts between countries, states and people. Only for power, greed and selfish acts. We are supposed to be the “normal” bunch, as society would call it. We are told that we’re free and we can do whatever we want but end of the day we’re being told what to do every minute of the day. Being the majority norms, we are the ones who are cursed with responsibilities to do the right thing at all times, at least that’s how all society take us. We have so much negativity in us that we hardly see the good in people or any acts, we want to find the reason behind everything or look for excuses to practice negativity. In a world where good deeds are being celebrated so vastly because it’s so rare, we need people with Down syndrome blessing.

I think I have gotten along better with people with such blessing, because they don’t think too much. They’re simple. It doesn’t take much to make them smile or genuinely happy. They get happy with simple little things around them, a hug can make their whole day. How on earth can someone call THIS mental illness? In fact we are the ones suffering from mental illness, this urge to be better than who we already are, competition with ourselves and others, for God knows what reason. We aren’t even sure of our own actions at times. Beautiful people with Down syndrome will never judge you for having such thoughts but “normal” ones like ourselves, we judge people in every possible way. Some express it, some don’t.

For all the people out there, who might be scared; don’t be.
It’s a blessing. These people aren’t scared of love, they love unconditionally whoever shows kindness where as we are so scared of love itself that we shut people off even before knowing them.

We need people with such blessing to bring positivity in this world.
